Pink Pueblo Designs 2020 Holiday Favorites

We've made it to the holiday season of 2020. If anything I know this year has taught me a lot and I will be taking a casual and chill approach to Christmas and gift-giving this year. What matters most is my family and friend's health and happiness this year.

If you do choose to shop this season try and support local smaller businesses this holiday season! Avoid crowds, shop online, shop small and shop early.

Here are my favorite small businesses you can shop online this holiday season. On our gift guide this holiday season is fun home decor and good style finds. You can find something for others this year or treat yo self! Have a safe holiday season and remember to keep it simple and give thoughtfully.

Bohemian Dream Airbnb

Interior product Instagram Post.png

During our visit to Colorado Springs we stayed in this gorgeous Victorian era Airbnb. The home was built in 1889 and since has been renovated and updated with the cutest Bohemian vibes. This restored Victorian home included new smoked hickory wood floors, high ceilings, large windows and authentic charm throughout. Spacious bathroom, with a relaxing claw foot tub was probably my favorite feature. This Airbnb was chic, with a bohemian style that felt rich and welcoming. We enjoyed coffee on the beautiful deck and enjoyed some much needed Colorado sunshine. This Airbnb gets 5 stars from us, for all the amenities and great design and decor!

Freakin Bats and Halloween!

Fall is quickly approaching and even the weather in south Texas is feeling like fall! It is my favorite time of the year, from Halloween decor and pumpkin spice everything!

Decorating can be stressful but we are here to help! We like to decorate with a lot of pumpkins and fall decor that can stretch from Halloween to Thanksgiving. This year as I was browsing Pinterest I kept seeing these bat cut-outs! Endless possibilities to hang everywhere! Check out our Fall Pinterest board for fall decorating ideas.

I was about to purchase these bat cut-outs, but then came across a downloadable print out to make my own. This easy option was not only affordable but also quick and easy!

Quick and easy bat decor

What you will need….

Black construction paper $ 1.99 from any craft store

Black jumbo Gauze cloth $10.00 from target

I had a Happy Halloween banner (I believe I got from the Target dollar section a couple of years ago)

Tape, scissors, and a pencil I had in the house.

  1. Trace as many bats as you would like with a pencil ( I traced about 25 bats)

  2. cut out bats

  3. I bent the bat wings to give them a 3-D flying effect

  4. Tape bats wherever you like

Pantry Organization

Pink Pueblo Designs Pantry Organization .png

After binging the Netflix series Get organized with The Home Edit. Organization mode at our household has been on high! My poor fiance, Dan! To be honest, I am always organizing and rearranging, I can't help it, its just who I am. Since the COVID 19 lockdown home decorating, cleaning and organizing have been more frequent than normal. I live in a condo and have to maximize every space. Luckily our pantry is pretty large. After months of quarantine and increased cooking at home, our pantry was out getting out of hand. It is already small and needs help. Just needed some clean out and organization.

I am saving right now before I allow myself to go to The Container Store and buy all the clear acrylic organizing bins. In the meantime, we are going to be a baller on a budget. A little organizing and clean out with some affordable options I had will get me through until my Container Store shopping spree.

The best way to start is to take everything out! Grab a trash bag and a storage bin. Create 3 piles and sort everything in the pantry by what you want to throw away, donate or keep and put back into pantry.

3 piles

  1. Trash

  2. Donate

  3. Keep

A simple clean out and a few affordable shelving options can increase the space dramatically. Try removing bulky packaging to save space and group items together. Use the amazon shelves for canned goods and glass containers. The Ikea Skubb boxes are $4.99 for a set of 6. I love these for everywhere in the house! These boxes are great for snacks and food groupings. Keep it easy simple with a quick cleanout, and make sure to donate any food you no longer need!

Pantry Organization Product

A pantry organization project doesn't have to be expensive! Use what you have or save up like to me to buy numerous amounts of acrylic clear bins, dividers, and storage boxes. Pantry organization and glow up part 2 coming soon!
